LUCAN SARSFIELDS’ CLUB NOTES MONDAY November 17th 2014

Many thanks to all the Teams who sent in match reports this weekend.  Full details can be found on our website www.lucansarsfields.ie over 1500 players in action in the last week across all 4 codes from age 7 to 40+!

Congratulations to our Minor B Hurlers and U21H who won their Championship games at the weekend. The U15A Hurlers also reached their Div 1 League Final following a victory over Cuala, best of luck next Sunday morning in the Final, which will be at home.

The Friends of Dublin Hurling Awards were held last Friday and Lucan Sarsfields are absolutely delighted that the  Award of Primary School of the Year goes to our own GAELSCOIL EISCIR RIADA.

To win this award among hundreds of Primary schools in Dublin is a fantastic achievement and we wish to compliment and congratulate the school and their teachers for the tremendous work and encouragement they give their young hurlers, footballers and camogie players. Only last week their Camogie team was successful in winning their Cumann na mBunscoil Final in Croke Park as well. Brilliant excitement and noise by all accounts!

We also must mention our own Johnny McCaffrey who provides great support and inspiration to the schools in Lucan and in this case GS Eiscir Riada in playing our sports. Great work Johnny!

2015 Family Organisers on Sale

Lucan Sarsfields first ever Family Organiser is now on sale in the bar or from the U13 mentors.

The Organiser features top quality photographs of the Juvenile members up to age  13, and are ideal Christmas gifts for family and friends. If you haven't already seen the Organiser it is well worth checking it out.

All funds raised are for the 7 teams who will be representing the club in the Feile competitions early next year. All support greatly appreciated.

The Lucan Sarsfields GAA Club 25 Card Drive continues every Friday in the Clubhouse Bar.

Set dancing every Wednesday at 8:30pm all welcome.

The Club Shop is open on Saturday’s from12pm and Thursday evening from 7:30pm. 

Our AGM is on Thursday 20^th November please make every effort to attend.

Our Lucan District Credit Union Academy is on every Saturday at 1:30pm at the Clubhouse and our walk in Academy is on in AGP Saturday at 10am.

There was no winner of the €20,000 Lotto draw numbers were 18, 25, 27 and 28 or the €4,000 prize numbers 6, 14, 15 and 26.  This week’s 2 jackpots are €20,000 and €4,500. Henley Forklift Services are sponsoring, with Hugh McGonigle’s Team in charge.
