Lucan Senior Camogie squads have had great wins in challenge matches this month over Crumlin, Donard Glen from Wicklow, Kilcock and Clane from Kildare.

A strong Kilmessan team from Meath then had a great win over Lucan and in the most high profile of all the matches St Ibars, the Wexford Champions beat Lucan senior squad by 2-14 to 3-9 in a thrilling encounter in Castlebridge, Co Wexford on Saturday 14th June.

The Senior One Summer Cup kicked off on Thursday 19th June and Lucan registered a great one-point win over a good Naomh Brid side by 1-9 to 2-5. Three points from Amy Gorman from play, excellent free taking from Rachel Leonard, brilliant defending by Orla Moloney and Noelle O'Riordan and dynamic mid-field combination work by Laura Murtagh and Sarah Courtney were the highlights. Caitriona Beirne was wonderful at centre-forward while Maeve Ward's goal was the crucial score.
