Juvenile Summer Cup - Wednesday 3rd Aug.
Paddy Baker has asked me to mention that fixtures scheduled for Wednesday 3rd Aug will go ahead but there will be some changes to the original schedule but an amended fixture schedule will issue later to-day (Monday)
All Ireland Poc Fada.
Congratulations to Faye McCarthy (Nh Jude) who finished 3rd in the All Ireland Poc Fada. She represented both herself and her club in a great light and no doubt she will be back again in 2017 to retain her Dublin/ Leinster titles and have another crack at the All Ireland.
U-16 B : All Ireland.
Very hard luck to our U16 B's who lost out to a very good Westmeath team in O'Toole Park yesterday. They needed to win this game to advance to an All Ireland Semi Final. On behalf of Dublin Camogie, I wish to express our sincere thanks to all the players / parents and Management for their efforts. This group came together before Xmas in preparation for this competition. Although the girls were disappointed to go out of this competition they can be very proud that they did their very best and represented Dublin in the best possible light.
U-16 A : All Ireland.
Better news from our U-16 A team. After yesterday's results in this competition our 16 A's will now face Galway in the Semi Final of the All Ireland on Sunday 7th Aug at a venue TBC. Like our U16 B's this group of girls have put in a "huge shift" and we wish this very talented group of girls every success when they meet Galway this Sunday. We hope as many people as possible support this team in their efforts to win an All Ireland.
Minor B : Leinster Championship.
Our Minor B team met Carlow last Friday in the 1st Round of the Leinster Championship and produced a magnificent performance to earn a draw after extra time. The replay takes place this Saturday 6th Aug at Noon at McGrath Park, Bagenalstown.
Minor A's.
Our Minor A's have their 1st game in the Leinster Championship ( Vs Offaly) this Friday 5th Aug at 7-30pm in St David's School, Artane, Coolock.
Premier Juniors.
Our Premiers take on Roscommon this coming Sunday 7th Aug in O'Toole Park (TBC) at 2-30pm.
Finally,
Our Chairman, Pat Martin is currently in hospital undergoing tests and hopes to be released during the coming days. On behalf of the Dublin Camogie can I wish Pat a very speedy recovery and hope to see him back at the helm of Dublin Camogie in the very near future. In the meantime any correspondence should be referred to either myself or any member of Management.
