Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes Monday 28th March 2016
March 28, 2016
Congratulations to Martin Mockler who received this years Presidents Award from Joe Byrne at a presentation on Thursday last.
The premium ticket draw is now open. One ticket and you are in every draw for the year where on offer are a pair of premium tickets for each Croke Park game. In addition this years draw includes concert tickets. Paul McGann (himself a closet Beyonce fan), will conduct the draws. Indeed last week was the first draw and Brian Mahon got to witness Dublin v Donegal (at least he was in the premium level!).
This past week has been a quiet one in terms of games played. Pitches are getting a little reprieve before it all kicks off again in the next week.
The senior pitch did see action with the Senior Footballers hosting Dunboyne in a challenge game and Senior Camogie Team losing out on their latest Leinster League round. They are out again on Thursday night 8pm at home to Kilrush.
Senior Football are up against Na Fianna on Saturday next, at the 12th Lock, 6:00pm. This will be their third Division 1 League outing and we would ask for maximum support on the night.
The Senior Hurling Leinster League is suffering a fixtures backlog with the quarter finals already fixed for Saturday next (2/4). Lucan or Kilcotton or Ferns will be at home to Bennettsbridge of Kilkenny.
Easter Camps (7-11yrs) running from March 29th-31st - just in can there are any late entries.
Saturday 9th of April is a date to hold free. The club will host a Mock Hen Party, and it promises to make a real mockery of anything that goes on in Temple Bar!
Bingo is on this Wednesday (23/3). We would still like to run this every week but it will require a few more volunteers - if anyone can lend a hand please make yourself known to the organisers on Wednesday night.
Set Dancing is back on Wednesday at 8:30pm in the Function Room.
The Cúpla Focal Club continues on Monday night. Eight OâClock for the novices, nine for the more experienced speakers.
Cards are back in action on Friday night next 9pm for anyone interested.
There was no winner of this weekâs â¬3,500 Lotto draw, numbers were 10, 13, 22 and 28. Lotto sponsor was Colaiste Laichtin, Inis Oirr. Next weekâs jackpot is â¬4,000, and the draw will be managed by team Frank Masterson on Sunday night next.
