 Aussie Rules

 Wanderers from Australia visited us last week. They participated in both an U-15 and U-16 compromise football games and generated a great buzz across the club on the evening. Special thanks to Robbie O'Connell and John Costello who did much of the organising, Jackie for organising the food and looking after everyone on the evening and to the host families for looking after the Australian boys on the night. A great weekend for all involved.

Special thanks to current Dublin footballers Daire Newcombe and Harry Ladd for coming down to present the 2021 Division 2 Cup Football and 2022 Division 1 Féile Shield winners medals to our U-15A football squad and 2022 Féile runners up medals to our U-15B football squad. The boys really appreciated it and it was a great evening at the club.

Junior C’s

Our Junior C men’s Football Team are looking for a coach to assist with their development. Training is on Wednesday evenings with games on Sunday afternoon. If you have experience coaching and are interested in assisting this young and promising team please contact Michaela Caseley @ 0868508553

Academy

Another great year finished for our Academy on Saturday with a great morning of fun, including Santa sack races, beanbag snowballs, building football snowmen as well as real ones and of course a visit from Santa! Thanks as ever to all our brilliant teenage coaches and to Alan, Donal and Ciara who coordinate the Academy. Jackie not only runs the Café, but puts constant work into supporting the Academy (particularly for this week) and of course Kieron, Naomi, Zara, Colette, Triona, Niamh and especially Mick for their roles this morning, thanks to all.

Club Christmas Party and Draw

This Saturday 17th December 8.30pm we are hosting the Club Christmas party in the clubhouse accompanied by live music from VOCI, all members welcome. 

Christmas Draw will take place at 10pm. Still time to purchase tickets from the club bar or Café and online online here. 

The cafe will be open on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night from 6-8pm so people can return Christmas Draw tickets. The bar is also open from 7.30pm on Wednesday and Thursday night to return sold tickets. Tickets must be returned before Thursday 15th December.

Supervalu Christmas Draw

Last week the winner of a €50 voucher was Debbie Murphy. This Thursday another €50 voucher is up for grabs, all you have to do to be in with a chance to win, is link your supervalue card to your Sarsfields membership.

No Winner of last week’s Lotto Prize of €10,200.

The Numbers were 14, 15, 19, 27.

This week's Lotto was a double draw as, Michael Claffey, Mick Casey Jr., Margaret Doyle, David Hargadon and Tommy Flannery were the 5 lucky people drawn to win a Turkey. 

The 5 lucky dip prizes go to, Stiofán Ó Conghaile, Sally O’Mahony, Edel Mooney, Maria Clarke and Tony Rigney. 

Next week’s Lotto will be for a jackpot of €10,600. The draw is sponsored by Newcastle Golf Centre and will be led by Cormac Gordon.
