The Intermediate camogie team continued on their winning ways with a good result against Kilmacud in Silverpark last Thursday.  It was an unseasonal wet and windy evening.

Playing with the wind in the first half, Lucan clocked up 5 scores before Kilmacud got on the scoreboard. We held onto this advantage through to half time, with the score at the interval 1-9 to 1-3.

The wind picked up in the second half and Kilmacud started to get a foothold in the game, but they were denied scoring opportunities by some strong defensive play by Lucan. Despite the challenging conditions, the forwards took their chances, and we secured a win with a scoreline of 3-14 to 4-8.

Next round is away to N Olaf on Thursday 8th July.

Team :

Ali Dunne, Deirdre O’Toole, Danni O’Connor, Fiona Dowler, Millie Reid, Niamh Power, Lily Rooney, Hannah Brady, Emma O’Brien, Sophie McIntyre, Aoife Reynolds, Sinead Daly, Lorna Sexton, Emer Keenan, Charlotte Rooney, Julie Kelly, Roisin Egan, Faye Murphy, Jenny Ryan.

MHL4  Lucan Sarsfields 5-21  St Judes 2-7.

Sunday 27th June saw the Minor B hurling team take on St Judes in Tymon Park in the first game of their MHL 4 campaign.

Lucan started the game brightly getting on top early in midfield through Cathal Britton and Jamie Ivory and working good scoring chances for the forwards and pointed frees from Dean Boylan being the early highlights.

As the game wore on Lucan were dominating in almost every area of the pitch with Cillian Morrissey and Conor Hannon leading the way in the Half Backs and Niall Higgins and Gareth Kennedy linking up really well in Attack.

The second half continued in the same vein with Lucan linking up play very well from the backs through to the forwards leading to good scoring chances, The introduction of substitutes at Half time and the second water break kept the pressure on till the final whistle with Lucan running out as comfortable winners on a score line of 5-21 to 2-7
