Colm Farrell, our Club Chairman, on behalf of the Club's Executive would like to wish all the Players, Managers, Coaches, Mentors, Volunteers, Supporters and Partners of Lucan Sarsfields GAA Club a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We thank you for your ongoing support and wish everyone well in their 2021 endeavours both on and off the field.

2020 proved to be a difficult year with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic playing havoc with our playing and fundraising activities.   We did manage to run a very successful Christmas draw and I would like to thank everyone for supporting our only major fundraiser of 2020.  

Whilst the pandemic continues, there is some light at the end of the tunnel with the promise that the first vaccines will be available in Ireland by December 30^th.

At our recent AGM, I outlined that the new Executives number one focus will be on Facilities Development and increasing the resources at our disposal to cater for our ever increasing numbers.     Some of you may have noticed the planning notices for a new hurling wall posted outside the club last weekend. This is the start of what we hope will be a very busy couple of years endeavouring to provide more facilities for our members.  

As we emerge from the pandemic in 2021 we wish all of our teams every success on the playing field, and encourage all our members to engage in the major fundraising that we will need to embark on to deliver more high quality facilities.

  Huge congratulations to our county teams on their successes over the weekend, to win an unprecedented 6 All Ireland Senior Football Championship Finals in a row for the men, and four Senior Football in a row for the ladies, however comiserations to the U20 Footballers who lost by the narrowest of margins and congratulations to the U20 Hurlers who progress to the Leinster Final on 3^rd Jan, 2021. We hope to see both Sam Maguire and Brendan Martin at the club, once the pandemic has abated.
