Lucan Sarsfields GAA Club Notes

July 03, 2020

Comhgairdeas le Harry Ladd, named as DCU Dóchas Éireann GAA Club’s Intermediate Footballer of the Year

Did you notice the Clubhouse?

Thank you Eamonn and Nathan from Greenday Environmental @GreenDayIE http://greenday.ie in helping club volunteers transform the look of our clubhouse.

Training for our adult teams started back last week, and for our juvenile teams since Monday. It is challenging for the players and mentors as we get used to the new procedures to help keep the coronavirus at bay.

It is imperative that all coaches, managers and mentors, that have underage players on their teams, meet the legislative requirements – that they have completed the Safeguarding course and that they are Garda Vetted. Please contact Lucan Sarsfields Child Protection Officer, Niamh O’Brien, childrensofficerls@gmail.com with any queries.

While the teams have their squads together for training, its a good time for the team photo to be taken for the website - send them to lucansarsfieldspro@gmail.com. Yo can also send match reports to the same email address, or use this form - http://bit.ly/SarsMatchReport

U16 Footballers finally got to wear their New Jersey’s in support of www.asiam.ie

One of the biggest things we all have to get used to is completing the health questionnaire; because of the size of our club, over 4500 members, our volunteer Covid-19 supervisors may find it challenging when trying to find the player name to allow them onto the training area – here’s a helpful reminder, before going to training; Fill the water bottle and Fill in the form!

It wasn’t easy on Monday when the GAA system stopped working – just at the start of the first of the evening training slots, but despite this we managed to cope.
