Please see message below from Elizabeth McNicholas and Family;

A successful Table Quiz Fundraiser for Elizabeth Mc Nicholas was held in the Function Room on Friday, 26th April. Between proceeds from the quiz tables, a monster raffle and contributions received from people who could not attend, a total of €1.414 was raised to facilitate Elizabeth's continued attendance at the Neurokinex Neurorehabilitation Centre at Gatwick, London, over the coming months.

Elizabeth attended the quiz and spoke at the interval, thanking everyone who organised a table and attended, those who bought raffle tickets, made contributions or offered the huge variety of prizes and spots for the event. Elizabeth and her family are extremely grateful for the wide support and good wishes shown to Elizabeth.

Thank you to Lucan Newsletter and Lucan Sarsfields PRO for highlighting the fundraiser, and to local papers for covering the event so well. Thanks to Lucan Sarsfields for the use of the Function Room, the bar staff and others who ensured the fundraiser ran smoothly.

If you wish to support Elizabeth's cause, please donate online at

Well done the Minor A Ladies footballers in their comprehensive win over St Brigids on a scoreline of 8:15 – 1:04

Juvenile

There were lots of Féile action over the weekend in both camogie and footballHard luck to our U15 A and C Camogie teams who battled hard in their group stages but unfortunately did not make it to the semi-finals stage.

Well done to U15B Camogie team who reached the Feile semi-final. The girls started off with a win against Skerries Harps, were pipped by the hosts Ballinteer St John’s by a point and then beat Kilmacud Crokes in a winner takes all game to qualify for the semi-finals. They then played Clontarf in an epic battle in Portmarnock, there was only a bounce off the ball between the teams all game with Clontarf just coming out on top in the end.  They improved with every game, played fantastic Camogie and were within touching distance of the final. Thanks to everyone who came to support the team and helped make the day special.

Our U15footballers had a big weekend as they won the Féile Division 8 Shield Final. This was played at home to Fingallians. The lads battled hard in what was a very physical game and came back after halftime to win it. Well done to all involved.

Our U15A footballers also competed in a Féile ShielFinal over the weekend in which they came out victorious, securing the Division 1 Shiel title. Well done lads!

The U14B camogie team has a great win over Ballyboden over the weekend, keeping them on their winning streak. Well done girls, keep it up!
