Juvenile Football Report

On Saturday afternoon, the U13A footballers recorded a fine 13 point victory against Clontarf at Alfie Byrne Road in the first grading league fixture of the season. A fine second half defensive display restricted Clontarf to just one point during the half. Half-time score 1-03 to 1-03. Final score was 4-08 to 1-04.

Team: Eoin Conheady; Sean Carolan, Sean Langton, Dan Kane; Ryan Clancy, Cathal Kennedy, Dara Walsh; Daragh Lyons, Alex Derrien; Darragh O’Toole, Cormac Coffey, Cillian Whelan; Adam Burns, Paddy Ryan, Adam Banim.

The U13 B’s had a big win against Castleknock on Saturday in their first grading game; the final score was 12-17 to 1-1. A very good team performance all round with Conor Greally top scorer with 3-3.

The 15A footballers backed up last week’s away win with another great win away from home vs Pats Donabate by 3-6 to 2-4 in difficult playing conditions. Again, great squad performance with all 20 contributing in the game. That is 2 from 2 now.

The U-14B team had a great win over Kilmacud Crokes while the U-16 footballers fell to a very strong Ballinteer St, Johns side.

The U-12 footballers also got their grading leagues underway this weekend with a loss to St. Pats Donabate in the C league and a win over St. Vincents in the E league.

Well done to all the teams competing at the weekend.
