Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes Monday 18th September.

September 18, 2017

Congratulations to Dublin Senior Footballers on achieving the three in a row and the best of Luck to Dublin Senior Ladies Football on Sunday next. Eve of the All Ireland was a night that lived up to the expectations. Between Thursday night and Saturday night almost 140 tickets were dispersed, and we could easily have distributed five times that. “Shindig” provided the music on Saturday night and after the game on Sunday. A big thanks you to all who organised food, music etc.

Senior Camogie drew their championship match with Ballinteer. We are still not sure was it a loss saved or a win discarded, but most seem happy to walk away with the draw. All to do against Na Fianna to get through.

Senior Football benefitted from results elsewhere with Ballymun’s defeat of Skerries meaning that Lucan’s Division One status is secure for next year.

In line with our club’s Strategic Plan Lucan Sarsfields Football Director and his support team will host an open evening at the Clubhouse 26th September. All Juvenile and Adult Football Mentors and coaches of teams are asked to attend meeting starts @ 8:30.

The Lucan Sarsfields Golf Society Captain John Clancy’s Day takes place Saturday 7th October in Moyvalley Golf Club. Tee-time: 11.45am – 1.00pm followed that evening by the Captain’s Dinner at 8pm in the Lucan Spa Hotel. The cost for the Golf is €35 and €25 for Dinner. The Dinner will be followed by music and song. Even if you can’t make the golf or don’t  play golf why not join us at the Captain’s Dinner. All are Welcome. To book Golf and/or Dinner please text John at 086 0412953.
