U10H Tournament in Round Towers: In an unusual pairing, round three of this tournament saw both Lucan Sarsfields U10H teams do battle in a head-to-head encounter to see who reached the final. In a very sporting game, where scores were hard come-by (partly due to the narrow goals) our black team did prevailed which put both teams on level points. Score difference will now decide who plays in final on Aug 7th. The black team had 5 newcomers, Eoin Higgins, Daragh O’Connor, Eoghan O’Connor, Andrew Carroll and Fiachra Bevan. Eoin played the first half in goals and with some good saves he denied the opposition any possibility of entering into an early lead. Ryan O’Connell and Sam McCarthy played their hearts out on both sides of defense. Ciaran Keane, Dylan Glover and Niall Larkin were all outstanding. Our green team began with Thomas Dempsey, David Miller, Fionnan and James Fenlon forming a strong centre field selection. The defense was superb with the Sullivan-O’Sullivan pairings of Brian and Josh. Connor Keating, Bobby Doolan and James Hoey formed the attaching line, which fought hard to get scores throughout the match. Full report on Latest news link on website.

JH ‘A’: Junior A hurlers had a very busy few weeks. After a very poor start to the league we picked up 4 points with very good wins over Na Fianna and Faughs. Last week we had a convincing win over Liffey Gaels in the B championship. Last Sunday morning we travelled to Pearse Park to play Crumlin in the championship. Defeat would have ended any hope we had of  progressing in the championship. We turned over at half time 3 points in arrears after playing with the wind. However, outstanding 2nd half performances by Brendan McGarry, Luke Philpott and Aidan Glover gave us a 2 point victory.  We are now through to the championship quarter final with a game against O’Dwyers to come.
