Under 16 Ladies Football

 Friday the May 10th.  2002 Lucan Sarsfields 1-04 Ballinteer St. John's 2-08

We lined out for our first game of the year against a formidable Ballinteer unit. The emphasis of our team was on youth. Over the first half our determined defence held out against repeated attacks. The second-half was more even as we began to get into our stride. Our lack of match-practice didn't help us. We finished well and we look forward to our next game. Best for us were the O'Neill sisters, Marie Moynihan, Niamh Russell, Deirdre Dee, Dee O' Callaghan, Claire McKiernan.
