March 11th 2006  Lucan Sarsfields B 4-3  Crumlin 4-2

One of Lucan Sarsfields’s newest teams recorded their first ever victory last Saturday. In a thrilling match they beat a very competitive Crumlin side by a single point. Early scores from Felim O’Maoilmhan, Daniel Furness, Glen White and Robert Feeney settled Lucan down but Crumlin struck back with two goals and a point. At half time Lucan lead by two points, 2-3 to 2-1.

The second half started badly for Lucan and Crumlin scored two quick gaols and a point. Lucan fought back well and goals from Aedan McKinley and Daniel Furness ensured a famous one point victory for Lucan.

This was a real team effort from Lucan but outstanding in goal for Lucan was Keith Fitzmaurice. Defenders Conor McNally, Oisin O’Connor-Ward, Oscar Richardson  and Rory Fleming repelled everything Crumlin threw at them in the last ten minutes.
